The Co-Hog Toys shop in the original Waltham Watch Factory in 1985.
The latest shop mayhem showing the Lola T70 MkIIIB restoration.
BRIEF HISTORY
Co-Hog Toys continues its history of an enduring obsession with quality handmade sculptural interpretations of cars and race cars with true souls.
Co-Hog was started in 1978 to make cars and trucks that kids would love. It quickly became obvious that adults liked them even more. As newer models were added and commissions were received they evolved into being automotive sculptures.
They were sold all over the world, in galleries, and select stores for several years. Demand soon outstripped the ability of one artisan to make them in a timely fashion so they were made available by special order only. Collections were built piece by piece and many were used as gifts. Enzo Ferrari was presented with one by an appreciative multiple Ferrari owner.
Time brought a family and changes. Co-Hog creations were deferred for a few decades while the family grew and multiple careers were followed. Now there is time again to add to the legacy of quality and fun.
We keep ‘Toys’ in the name because they’re still created with fun in mind.
CURRENT SITUATION
We are not accepting new commissions or starting new editions as we have enough work on the books to stay busy for quite some time.
Follow along in the Blog as projects are worked on and completed. Unique pieces for each of my sons and the complete restoration of a Lola T70 MkIIIB that I was commissioned to do over 40 years ago are continuing projects.
Co-Hogs are very rare. If you do already have any or find one and want more information about it, please let us know and we’ll do our best to add to its history for you.
Keep us informed of your thoughts and observations by using the Contact page.
We hope to be an ongoing positive part of your automotive experience.
